Day 06-09. Yangtze River Cruise (AB/L/D)
There is no better way to understand a country than sailing on its great rivers. This upstream six day and five night cruise will unfold a real picture of Chinese life as it moves on, it sails through farmlands, port cities, historical sites as well as the famous Gorge Dam site. It will pass through the famed Three Gorges, starting with Xiling, then the Wu Gorge and finally the Qutang Gorge. The cruise is further highlighted with small boat excursions up the fantastic Lesser Three Gorges and guided shore excursions to scenic spots along the shores of the river.
Day 10.Chongqing/Xian (AB/L/D)
Disembark in the port city of Chongqing and visit the Museum of U.S. General Stillwell and Panda Zoo. After a city tour, wing on to Xian. Transfer to the deluxe Sheraton Xian Hotel upon arrival.
Day 11. Xian (AB/L/SD)
The highlights of today's excursions are the Museum of Terra-Cotta Warriors and Horses, the ancient City Wall and the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. In the evening, you will be treated to a colorful Tang Dynasty Dance and Music Dinner Show.
Day 12. Xian/Beijing (AB/L/D)
After breakfast, transfer to the airport and fly to Beijing. Upon arrival, transfer to the deluxe Crowne Plaza
Hotel or Radisson Plaza State Guest Hotel. Afternoon sightseeing features the Summer Palace.
Day 13.Beijing (AB/L/D)
The highlight today is a visit to the Great Wall, a symbol of the Chinese ancient civilization. The longest man-made object in the world, this 2,000-year landmark is an astonishing feat of engineering. Also, visit the Ming Tombs, the burial grounds for 13 emperors of the Ming Dynasty.
Day 14. Beijing (AB/L/SD)
Morning sightseeing begins with a visit to the Tian An Men Square followed by the Forbidden City, the abode of emperors for more than 500 years with numerous precious art objects on display. Afternoon program features the Temple of Heaven. Attend a Roast Duck Farewell Dinner tonight.
Day 15. Beijing/West Coast
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your return flight to U.S.A. on United Airlines.
