Day 1. West Coast/Beijing
Depart for Beijing, the capital full of dynastic treasures on United Airlines.
Day 2. Beijing
Arrive in Beijing in the evening and transfer to your deluxe hotel.
Day 3. Beijing (AB/L)
In rickshaws, we tour the hutongs, Beijing's back lanes lined with authentic courtyard houses, for a glimpse of traditional domestic life. After lunch, visit the Magnificent Forbidden City, the home to successive Emperors for more than 500 years. Enjoy a panoramic view of the city from Jingshan Park, and after dinner, a spectacular acrobatic show.
Day 4. Beijing (AB/L/D)
Drive north to the Great Wall at Badaling part. A walk along the enormous wall offers spectacular vistas of this mammoth fortress.a symbol of the Chinese ancient civilization. In the afternoon, visit the beautiful Summer Palace, the largest imperial gardens which boast such delights as the famous Marble Boat and the ornately painted "Long corridor"
Day 5. Beijing/Hangzhou (AB/L)
Morning flight to Hangzhou. Upon arrival, transfer to the deluxe hotel. In the afternoon, visit the Quyuan Garden and a silk spinning factory.
Day 6. Hangzhou (AB/L)
Take a boat trip on the famous West Lake surrounded by idyllic gardens. After a unique visit to Guozhuang Garden, have the rest of the day free to explore and relax at leisure.
Day 7. Hangzhou/Suzhou (AB/L)
Arrive in Suzhou by train and transfer to the deluxe hotel. Renowned for its classical Chinese gardens, Suzhou is regarded by the Chinese as "a paradise on earth". First, we see the Humble Administrator's Garden, then the Garden of the Master of Nets, where we wander through halls and pavilions, each a setting for music and dance.
Day 8. Suzhou/Zhouzhuang/Suzhou (AB/L)
This is a full day encompassing a visit to the picturesque canal town of Zhouzhuang,a relic from the elegant old days of 900 years ago, reached from Tongli by a leisurely canal cruise. On our journey back to Suzhou, we visit Tongli's charming Tuisi Garden.
Day 9. Suzhou/Shanghai (AB/L)
A short train to Shanghai and transfer to the deluxe hotel. Today's sightseeing program includes a visit to Yuyuan Garden, the inspiration for willow pattern china, Wuxing Teahouse in the old city quarter and Jade Buddha Temple and a stroll along the Bund with its skyline.
Day 10.Shanghai/Chongqing (AB/L)
Fly to Chongqing and transfer to the hotel. Leisurely sightseeing after lunch includes the Old Town and Artists' Village.
