Beijing, Xian, Guilin, Shanghai
Day 1. West Coast/Beijing
Depart West Coast on Air China for Beijing.
Day 2. Beijing
Arrive in Beijing, you will be met and escorted to your deluxe hotel.
Day 3. Beijing (AB/L/DP)
Highlight for today is a visit to the Great Wall, 40-miles north of Beijing. A walk along the enormous wall offers spectacular vistas of this mammoth fortress.a symbol of the Chinese ancient civilization. Also visit the Ming Tombs, the impressive underground palaces for 13 emperors of the Ming Dynasty. Tonight, enjoy a Welcome Beijing Duck Dinner Party.
Day 4. Beijing (AB/L/D)
Full-day of sightseeing includes the Forbidden City, the Tian An Men Square and the Temple of Heaven. In the evening, attend an Acrobatic Show.
Day 5. Beijing (AB/L/D)
Excursions today include a visit to the Beijing Zoo, then a tour to Summer Palace, a summer resort for Empress Dowager Ci Xi. Attractions there include the Long Corridor, Longevity Hill and Kunming Lake. Afternoon program takes you to the Tibetan Lama Temple.
Day 6. Beijing/Xian (AB/L/D)
A short mid-morning flight to Xian. Upon arrival, check in to your deluxe hotel. Sightseeing in the afternoon features the ancient City Wall, the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the Bell Tower.
Day 7. Xian (AB/L/DS)
View the extraordinary 7,000 life-sized terra-cotta army, no two alike, buried for over 2200 years; Circle Vision Movie; Bronze Chariot. Afternoon, visit the Neolithic Village of Banpo. Also, on the way to the terra-cotta museum, you will be offered to visit farmer's home--"The Real McCoy" of the local's. Attend a Tang Dynasty Dinner show tonight.
Day 8. Xian/Guilin (AB/L/D)
Fly to Guilin in the morning, at heart of a magnificent landscape. Check into your deluxe hotel. In the afternoon, Then off to tour the Reed Flute Cave, Elephant Trunk Hill and Fobo Hill.
Day 9. Guilin (AB/L/D)
Today, enjoy a spectacular cruise down the Li River. The limestone rock formations and farm land scene along the way are something out of the world. Upon disembarking at Yangshuo, browse at the free market and then coach back to Guilin through the picturesque countryside..
Day 10. Guilin/Shanghai (AB/L/D)
Transfer to the airport and fly to Shanghai. Upon arrival, you are greeted and escorted to your deluxe hotel. Afternoon sightseeing features the famous Shanghai Museum and the Bund-the waterfront lined with gracious European buildings overlooking the Huangpu River.
Day 11. Shanghai (AB/L/DP)
Morning free to explore by yourselves. Afternoon sightseeing features Jade Buddha Temple,
Yuyuan Garden and Children's Palace. Attend the Farewell Dinner Party tonight.
Day 12. Shanghai/West Coast (AB)
Transfer to the airport and fly back home aboard Air China wide-cabin 747 jetliner.across the International Dateline, arriving home the same day.
